Gandia is a city in the Land of Valencia, Eastern Spain on the Mediterranean. Valencia is the nearest most important city. Important cultural and commercial centre during the XV and XVI centuries. Old but now uncontinued University (XV century). Cradle of poet Ausias March and the Borgias. Now a famous touristic and holidays destination, it is usually called the beach for people of Madrid. There are two main zones, Gandia city, where lives people all the year and Gandia beach, where it is concentrated all the flats used during the summer season. There are some popular spanish food restaurants around the beach, like the famous "La Gamba", where it is origin of Fideuà dish. Very trendy place for young people looking for great nightlife, fantastic beach and cultural activities for families.
